Our committee has been approached by some relatives asking how they can support the reunion through volunteerism and financial support. THANK YOU!
Based on these requests, we are creating new opportunities for anyone to contribute to the success of the 2027 reunion and beyond.

Any amount is greatly appreciated. You will notice there are also opportunities for naming sponsorships for an individual or a family group which would be posted and included in the program (Example: Youngest Attendee Award sponsored by the Jackson Family). Or you may remain anonymous.

History
The Pearson Family Reunion began its creation in 1974 by the large contingency of relatives in Youngstown, OH. Many of our relatives had left Georgia to avoid Jim Crow South and to find new employment opportunities in Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles, and cities in Ohio. Law and Mary Pearson were blessed with 14 children. Twelve of these children had children of their own. Because of the distance now between the families, the reunion became that annual event to come together and reminisce, learn about what’s been happening, who are the new babies, and just love on each other.
In 1976 the Pearson Family Reunion was held in Dublin, GA. The family returned to its roots. And the feeling of reconnecting with family was so positive and inspiring that families even vied to host the reunion each year.
As the numbers of the grandchildren of Law and Mary Pearson began to diminish, the reunion’s original incentive to be maintained may have altered in some way. In 2010 the last Pearson Family Reunion was held in Baltimore ... until 2024.
In 2024, a new generation sought to reignite the passion for a reunion and reached out beyond Ohio to cousins across the country through digital communications. We are confident this new generation will build momentum and reignite the desire to build family unity.
